Mark Pinsley (born January 3, 1970) is a Democratic politician, U.S. Army Reserve veteran, and entrepreneur who has served as Lehigh County Controller since 2020, gaining recognition for his 2023 investigation into the alleged overdiagnosis of medical child abuse that resulted in $1.4 million in county savings on prescription drug costs. A South Whitehall Township resident, he holds a BSBA in Finance from Northeastern University, an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, and a Certificate in Ethics from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Before entering politics, Pinsley co-founded DermaMed Solutions in 2011 and spent years as a global product developer in the health care industry. He previously served as a South Whitehall Township Commissioner and ran unsuccessfully for state Senate in 2018 and 2022 before running unopposed in the 2026 Democratic primary for the 16th State Senate District seat.
